VEGAN FESTIVAL RETURNS TO TYNE BANK BREWERY

Only two months after Tyne Bank Brewery’s first vegan festival hit the region, Flower Power is back for another weekend stint at the award-winning tap room this month.

Following on from its success in January that saw over 2,000 people descend on the tap room on Walker Road, Flower Power 2.0 will welcome back regional favourites such as Fat Hippo and Scream for Pizza dishing up 100% plant-based menus created especially for the event.

Alongside these, new additions Magpye and Mivesi have been added to the bill. Visitors can also browse several vegan and organic traders selling everything from toiletries to candles as well as having a stellar DJ and live music line-up.

Julia Austin, founder of Tyne Bank Brewery said: “Following on from the success of our first vegan flower power festival and the incredible feedback, we realised that as more consumers are enjoying a vegan lifestyle, we wanted to bring the event back for a second time as veganism isn’t just for January.

“We’ll be welcoming back street food favourites and introducing new local food vendors to bring even more vegan dishes too.”

The three-day weekender has been produced along with 44 Events.

Suitable for families, kids and K-9’s, the festival will take place on Friday 27th March – Sunday 29th March 2020.

With a fully vegan menu on offer from street food vendors including Magpye, Fat Hippo, Scream for Pizza, Mivesi and Kogarashi including craft beers, cocktails and live music.
