The event is as a result of a partnership between leading event Management Company She’s Gott It, Metro Radio and Metro Radio Arena. The partnership was formed following a desire by all partners to develop a video gaming event that would become the biggest in the north and enable gamers to access exciting events without having to travel further south. The team are working with Northern England games network and consultancy Game Republic Ltd and are all exited to bring this mighty programme to the region.
Nickie Gott OBE, managing director of She’s Gott It Events said “we are so excited to be creating this event for our region and something of this scale north of the country. To have headlining social media stars such as ComedyShorts Gamer, Jake Boys and Yogscast, really demonstrates our commitment to offering and exciting programme for avid gamers and YouTuber fans. We know that many gamers have to travel far and wide to interact with these types of festivals to ask questions or get advice or even get a chance for a meet and greet with renowned YouTubers and developers. We are even adding a minor Glitch area for a younger audience to join in to make sure all ages are engaged and excited by the activities. I would love to see this as an annual event on the regions calendar and I would urge gamers at any level to come and play for fun, or join a tournament or even get a selfie with one of your favourite YouTube stars.”
