We are seeking your support to raise funds for the nation’s leading Armed Forces charity – The Royal British Legion and their 2015 Poppy Appeal.
Each year the nation expresses its unequivocal support for The Royal British Legion’s work through the Poppy Appeal.
The Appeal is the Legion’s biggest fundraising campaign and the 2015 Poppy Appeal will be launched nationally on Wednesday, 21st October 2015.
The Poppy Appeal makes it possible for the Legion to help Armed Forces families with £1.7million every week in direct welfare support – that’s £90 million each year, answering more than 165,000 calls for help.
Armed Forces families are at the heart of our welfare – we help not only those who serve, but the mothers, fathers, partners and children of our serving personnel past and present.
Volunteers are always welcome as pressure on the Legion’s services grows year on year.
Anyone over 16 years of age can help. Just call the Legion free of charge on 0800 085 5924 or email poppypeople@britishlegion.org.uk.
We are most interested to hear from individuals, volunteer groups and organisations who might consider organising this year’s Appeal in the Middlesbrough area. If you feel that you can help, please email the Poppy Appeal’s Community Fundraiser: slythe@britishlegion.org.uk
We urge you to support The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal generously and in any way you can.
Thank you for your support.
