NORTH East town is set to bring a fashion show, highlighting everything from home-grown independent fashion boutiques to international clothing brands, to the streets of Darlington.
The event is being created by Distinct Darlington, the town’s Business Improvement District Company which was formed to promote businesses and deliver a range of activities to benefit the town centre.
A whole host of activities are planned for the one-day fashion event which is set to take place on Grange Road on Saturday 23 April between 10am and 4pm, including regular catwalk displays showcasing the very best of Darlington’s Spring/Summer fashion offering, including both men’s and ladies’ clothing, footwear and accessories.
“This is a really exciting event for Darlington and we’re delighted that we’re able to host this event in Grange Road, a street well-known for its high-quality, independent fashion boutiques,” said Alex Hirst, Manager of Distinct Darlington.
“We’ve got a very imaginative programme planned with something for everyone and an opportunity for people to really get involved. There is some unique entertainment being planned along with everything you’d expect from a fashion show.”
In the run up to the fashion show there will also be a programme of promotions and special events ran by shops, restaurants and hotels in the town centre.
