A School in North Tyneside is Holding an Open Evening for Prospective Pupils

logo2Norham High School, North Shields, will open its doors to the families of young people who wish to attend the school in 2016 or beyond.

It takes place on Thursday, September 24, at 6pm, and will include opportunities to take an informal look around the school and to chat to the new executive headteacher, teaching staff, governors and current pupils.

David Baldwin, who recently took over as the executive headteacher, said: “I’d really encourage any Year 5 or 6 pupils and their parents or guardians to come along and see how the school is changing.

“We believe in offering all our pupils the highest quality education in a safe, happy and caring environment. Every individual is a valued member of the school community and is given access to a wide range of learning opportunities.

“We have high expectations of ourselves and our pupils and we want every young person to develop their talents and to succeed. Our exam results are improving rapidly and not one student left without qualifications this year.

“We are very proud of our school and the opening evening will show any prospective pupils and their families why.”

The opening evening starts at 6pm with a presentation from the executive headteacher and then there will be an opportunity to see the school in action and talk to staff and pupils. We will end the evening the chance to have a full school meal.
