LOVERS of the music of Simon & Garfunkel are in for a treat when Bookends bring their Through The Years Show to Middlesbrough Town Hall Crypt on Friday, September 18.
Following a sell-out run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and a four-star review from Broadway Baby, Bookends are back on tour with their powerful live performance and multimedia show, taking a chronological journey through the friendship and career of Simon and Garfunkel.
Following a BBC Radio tour the show was described as a ‘must see’ with Bookends being labelled the most authentic sounding tribute to the music of Simon & Garfunkel. With incredible live performances bound together with video clips, audio snippets and imagery the show is both moving and powerful.
Featuring interviews with Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel, original movie footage and wonderful live performances by Bookends, the show opens at the start of their career and ends at the much publicised break-up.
Performances of hits such as The Sound of Silence, Mrs Robinson, The Boxer and the unforgettable Bridge Over Troubled Water make this show is a must-see for any music lover.
Simon & Garfunkel: Through The Years performed by Bookends is on at Middlesbrough Town Hall Crypt on Friday, September 18 at 7.30pm.
Tickets are £12.50
