Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

Come along to Christmas at the Dorman Museum

middlesbrough-moving-forwardSANTA Claus is coming to town, and he’ll be making a stop at the Dorman Museum this weekend (Sunday, December 13).

The museum’s popular Christmas event gives young visitors the chance to visit Santa’s magical grotto and tell him what they’re hoping to unwrap on Christmas Day.

There’s plenty to keep little hands and enquiring minds busy with four different tables of festive crafts including making Christmas cards and painting Christmas tree decorations, and a special trail around the museum.

For those with big imaginations, the out-of-this-world Invasion exhibition will be open as normal, allowing visitors to get up close and personal with alien invaders from the good to the bad to the downright scary.

Phil Philo, Senior Curator of Middlesbrough’s Museums, said: “We’re excited to be holding our Christmas event again and this year we’ve made sure there’s even more for people to enjoy.

“The Invasion exhibition has been extremely popular with visitors of all ages, and it would make a great early Christmas present for families, especially older children with big imaginations.”

The Dorman Museum’s Christmas event runs from 10am – 4pm on Sunday, December 13.  A charge of £2 per child applies for Santa’s grotto. Admission charges also apply for the Invasion exhibition at £4 for adults and £2.50 for concessions. Family tickets are £10 and can admit up to two adults and three children.
