THE NORTH East’s largest commercial property and investment company is the latest member to sign up to the Government’s Northern Powerhouse Partner programme.
UK Land Estates will be part of the network of organisations that will help promote the strengths and achievements of the North – showcasing why it is a great place to do business.
The company has 800 clients across its estates, from small local SMEs to multinationals and household names including Premier Inn, WH Smith and Greggs.
With a significant land bank of more than 180 acres, the organisation is also well placed to quickly build bespoke properties to meet business demands.
Keith Taylor, managing director at UK Land Estates, said: “We have always been vocal about our commitment to growing the northern economy and support of the Northern Powerhouse initiative, so we are honoured to be announced as a Northern Powerhouse Partner.
“The partner programme champions talent in the region and is a great platform for like-minded businesses to network, connect and develop.
“We are sure that this initiative will help attract investment to the North and are looking forward to being a part of the driving force that helps our region prosper in the years to come.”
The partnership aligns with the UK Land Estates’ ambition to encourage local authorities to invest in established business parks in the region, in order to grow business clusters and boost the regional economy.
The Northern Powerhouse is Government’s vision for a more prosperous North with good-paying jobs for hard-working people, better roads and railways, higher-performing schools and world-beating universities. There are currently over 300 businesses and organisations signed up to the Partner Programme.
