Don’t Miss Final Round of Seasonal Green Waste Collections

RESIDENTS across Stockton-on-Tees are being reminded that the Council’s kerbside green waste collections will soon end until Spring 2018.

Final collections for 2017 will take place in week commencing 2 October for red week residents and week commencing 9 October for blue week residents.

Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council’s Care for Your Area team will continue to collect blue bags, boxes and white bags throughout the year.

Councillor Mike Smith, Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Environment and Transport, said: “This last round of green waste collections is the perfect opportunity for residents to get rid of any gardening waste they may have at home.

“We know residents really value the kerbside collections and would encourage them to continue recycling throughout the year.”

Residents who wish to dispose of any green waste after the kerbside collections have ended can take it to the Household Waste Recycling Facility at Haverton Hill. Opening hours at the facility are 8am to 7pm until 31 October 2017 and 8am to 6pm from 1 November 2017 to 31 March 2018.
