Mary-Ann Ochota is a broadcaster and anthropologist whose work has taken her across the world, including into the Chernobyl exclusion zone, the Algerian Sahara, across Australia’s Simpson Desert, and to the slums of Dhaka and Delhi. She writes regularly for Geographical, The Great Outdoors and The Telegraph.
She has presented programmes such as Time Team and Unreported World. Her new book,
published in October 2016 and entitled Hidden Histories: A Spotter’s Guide to the British
Landscape, will be the subject of her talk.
