Durham Market Hall has launched a collection for gifts for those in our region who will find little or nothing under their tree this Christmas.
In support of the Salvation Army’s Christmas Present Appeal, Durham Market Hall is inviting everyone to buy an extra gift, and leave it at the collection point in the Management Office in the Market Hall (by Café Cenno).
Colin Wilkes, Managing Director of Durham Markets commented: “As we all get prepared for Christmas, and choose gifts for family and friends, it would be great if we could also buy one extra present. Let’s try to make Christmas special for one more person. In particular, we’d like people to donate gifts suitable for teenagers, but we’d welcome all gifts that you can donate. We’re glad to be working with the Salvation Army again this year. From them and us, thank you in advance for any gifts you can donate.”
Durham Markets has asked that gifts be new and unwrapped so that the Salvation Army can ensure that recipients receive suitable gifts. The Management Office at Durham Market Hall is open from 9.30am to 4pm Tuesday to Saturday.
