A special event to focus on disability sport takes place in Northallerton next week – ahead of this year’s Learning Disability Week (20 -26 June).
But the activities on offer at the ‘Hambleton Ability Day’ are on offer to everyone, regardless of ability.
The district council event will see taster sessions in boccia, football, bike ability, gym sessions, dance and much more. There will also be led walks taking place.
Stephen Miller, Paralympic world record, medal holder and newly awarded MBE will be attending the event to raise awareness of disability sport and to also inspire all participants in attendance.
The day takes place at Hambleton Leisure Centre on Thursday 2 June from 10am to 2pm and costs £10 per person (parents, guardians and carers attend for free).
