North East law firm Hay & Kilner is celebrating after seeing all eleven of its entries shortlisted in their respective categories in the 2019 Northern Law Awards.
The Newcastle-headquartered practice has been nominated for Team of the Year in nine Awards categories – Corporate & Commercial, Litigation & Dispute Resolution, Employment, Residential Property, Personal Injury & Clinical Negligence, Private Client, Crime & Regulatory, Family and Commercial Property.
Alison Hall, head of the firm’s Private Client team and President of the Newcastle upon Tyne Law Society in the last year, has been nominated for the North East Lawyer of the Year Award, while Richard Marshall, an associate solicitor in Alison’s team, has been shortlisted in the Awards’ Rising Star category.
The overall winners of the Awards will be revealed at a gala dinner at the Gateshead Hilton Hotel in June.
Established in 1946, Hay & Kilner is one of North East England’s leading independent law firms and provides a full range of legal services to businesses and individuals from both within and outside the region.
It was named as a ‘regional heavyweight’ in the latest edition of the Legal 500, with its services recommended by the legal sector ‘bible’ in 16 different practice areas.
Jonathan Waters, managing partner at Hay & Kilner Law Firm, said: “To be shortlisted across so many different practice areas reflects the quality and consistency of service on which our expert teams pride themselves, while Alison and Richard are both outstanding legal practitioners who thoroughly deserve their individual nominations.
