MUSIC fans heading to the North East’s biggest live music festival can leave the car at home and take a coach trip to the event.

Hardwick Live returns to the grounds of Hardwick Hall Hotel, Sedgefield over the weekend Saturday and Sunday August 18 and 19, bringing two days of live music and family entertainment to County Durham.

Kaiser Chiefs, Happy Mondays, Feeder, Ash, Shed Seven, Heather Small and Melanie C are among the star-studded line up set to take to the stage across the two day event.

And with a host of entertainment on the ground including a number of bars and tents serving everything from cocktails to real ale, organisers are encouraging visitors to leave their cars at home and take advantage of an organised coach service.

In conjunction with JH Coaches, festival chiefs have organised five routes from various parts of the North East which will shuttle-in guests before the event begins on both days.

Coaches will arrive at Hardwick Hall at around 11.30am and will depart when the show finishes at 11.15pm.

“We wanted to make getting to and from Hardwick Live as easy as possible, and we also wanted to make sure people could come in without worrying about driving,” said John Adamson, owner of Ramside Estates which runs Hardwick Live.

“By organising this service with JH Coaches, we’ve given visitors the option to leave their cars at home if they wish, giving them more freedom at the event if they decide they’d like a drink.

“It also means anyone who doesn’t have their own transport can still come to the event, so nobody has to miss out, regardless of where they’re travelling from.”

Coaches will leave from Newcastle, South Shields, Spennymoor, Stockton and Northallerton, and will make stops along the way taking in areas such as Washington, Sunderland, Chester-le-Street, Hartlepool and Middlesbrough.

Prices range from £8.50 to £13.50 depending on the area of departure, and all tickets must be bought in advance from JH Coaches.
