Local nursery learn how houses are built at Durham development

Young pupils from Rainbow Hill Nursery, Durham High School for Girls have been on a tour of local housing development The Drive, where they learnt about how houses are built and the different transport vehicles that are involved in the housebuilding process.

Gary Hunt, Site Manager at The Drive, commented: “We always work to support the communities that we’re building in, to give something back and encourage more young people to consider a career in construction. It was a pleasure being able to help get first hand experience with their studies and it was great to see just how engaged they were throughout the morning.

Lesley Mock, nursery teacher at Rainbow Hill Nursery, Durham High School for Girls commented: “We’re very thankful for David Wilson Homes for letting us come for a tour of the development. It was a great addition for the class to get out and further what they have been learning about and Gary was brilliant at answering all of our questions.”
