Northumberland engineering and construction specialist, Merit Holdings has been named Company of the Year in Tyneside and Northumberland.
The company took first prize in the regional heat of the North East Business Awards, repeating a win in the same category 10 years ago.
Merit has seen significant growth in recent years and in 2017 achieved a 20% rise in turnover along with a 50% rise in profit after a number of improvements were implemented across the business. The company expects to see that growth continue in 2018 with a forecast to exceed £50 million turnover.

Merit operates with its own in-house team of designers, pipe work fitters and electricians who are all specially trained in highly rated industries where quality of workmanships is vital. The company provides turnkey design and build engineering and construction solutions for companies operating in complex environments.
