Mothers and Grandmothers in Yarm were treated to a special day of treats when children at Yarm School’s Pre-Prep invited their loved ones to school for the day, in celebration of Mother’s Day.
Guests were treated to tea and scones, as well as given an educational experience in making models, painting pictures and having their photographs taken with their children, as part of the celebrations.
Yarm School’s Pre-Prep caters for children aged between three and seven years old.
Mrs Joanne Speight, Yarm School’s Pre-Prep Coordinator, said: “It was a fantastic initiative and a lovely way to celebrate Mother’s Day with relatives being treated to a Celebration Assembly and a variety of activities. The celebration offered the perfect opportunity for mothers and grandmothers to experience a typical day at our school.
“We always welcome the visit of guests and the children really enjoyed themselves, as did their relatives. In June, we will look forward to welcoming our pupils’ fathers to celebrate Father’s Day, which will be an equally joyous occasion.”
