Plans approved for 166 new Amble homes

OUTLINE planning permission has been granted for up to 166 new homes near Amble.

Cheviot Holdings was supported by planning consultancy Barton Willmore in securing permission from Northumberland County Council’s planning committee.

The proposals for Hauxley View include a mix of family homes, incorporating affordable properties.

Cheviot will develop a range of two, three and four bedroom properties.

Martyn Earle, associate planner at Barton Willmore, said: “These new homes will be an important addition to Amble, and the wider county.

“Northumberland County Council’s draft core strategy identifies a significant need for new homes in Amble in the next 14 years.

“Cheviot Holdings’ plans are sustainable and will benefit the local economy.”
