Dog owners and their pooches can enjoy a paw-fect day out at a special canine Christmas celebration.
On 23 November, The Sandpiper, at Farringdon Road, is inviting dogs of all shapes and sizes to a Christmas party.
And, along with the op-paw-tunity to make new friends and have their picture taken, each four-legged guest will be able to meet Santa Paws and receive an early doggy Christmas gift.
The party is one of several events being held in the run up to Christmas at the pub – which is owned by Malhotra Group plc – to raise funds for The Prince’s Trust.
The Prince’s Trust was founded by HRH The Prince of Wales to transform the lives of young people by providing access into jobs, education and training, and is the Malhotra Group’s nominated charity for 2019.
“It’s a very worthwhile cause,” said manager, Adam Halfpenny, “and we hope as many dog owners and their canine companions as possible will come along to the party.
“They would be barking mad to miss it.”
The Sandpiper also hopes to raise money for the charity on Saturday 14 December, where human customers will have the chance to Breakfast with Elsa.
Between 10am and noon, children will be able to tuck into a hearty breakfast before enjoying games, singing and dancing in the company of the popular character.
Tickets for Breakfast with Elsa cost £6 per child and can be purchased from The Sandpiper. £1 from all tickets sold will go to The Prince’s Trust.
The Dog Christmas Party will take place between noon and 2pm and tickets, which cost £5 per dog, include a digital photo, a pup cake and a raffle ticket strip for the charity raffle on the day, with profits from all tickets going towards the Prince’s Trust.
