Over the next 12 months, the company will be working with High Tide, MFC Foundation and Daisy Chain.

Prismatic Thinking’s team of business psychologists are going to be providing pro-bono professional support to both High Tide and MFC Foundation by helping the young people involved in their projects to gain a better understanding of the types of roles and organisations they are best-suited to with the overall aim of assisting them into long-term employment.

Prismatic’s business psychology team is also going to be working with Stockton-based Daisy Chain providing teambuilding and workplace improvement techniques to their 80-strong team. In addition, MD of Prismatic Thinking, Tony Slimmings, is also currently researching how personality assessments can be used effectively with people with autism to continually improve their employment options.

Prismatic Thinking specialises in improving business productivity, performance and staff motivation and career development through increasing employee morale using specially-developed HR tools.

Tony Slimmings established his company in June 2015 and now employs a team of seven across his two office bases at Stockton and Newton Aycliffe.

Their expertise and guidance will make a real difference to the Daisy Chain team as we strive to support more families affected by autism in the Tees Valley. Supporting adults with autism into employment is a key objective for us so we are delighted to be working with Prismatic Thinking to improve their employability options.”

Tony Slimmings said: “My main aim is to provide very real opportunities for young people who I believe are often not guided correctly to consider careers they are best suited to. We want to provide tangible support that will enhance our local community rather than just providing a sum of money through fundraising.

“My real draw to our chosen charities was their focus on helping disadvantaged youngsters find a foothold on the career ladder and hopefully avoid the pitfalls that social deprivation so often puts in their way. I believe passionately in the use of positive psychology to allow everybody to acquire self-belief by achieving small incremental successes, realising there is a place for all of us in society and helping youngsters aim higher, which is something I am excited about working on in the coming months”.

Prismatic works with a variety of organisations in both the public and private sectors, including the North East Chamber of Commerce (NECC), Crystal Galleries, QA Weldtech in Middlesbrough and national logistics company Yearsley Group, to monitor levels of motivation amongst the workforce and increase productivity using its specially-developed online software, Vision.
