(Royals – Scott 22, Neighbour 18, D.Lavrinovic 14; Scorchers – Ogedengbe 24, Richards 19, Hawthorne 13)
The London City Royals bounced back from their first loss last week, defeating Surrey Scorchers 92-84.
Matt Scott led the Royals again, tallying 22 points accompanied by eight rebounds and two assists. Will Neighbour also assisted with 18 points and shooting 60% from the three point line.
The Scorchers started off slow this evening making it look like a dominant game for the Royals, but with the help of Ryan Richards, they managed to prevent the Royals from a more dominant victory.
Tayo Ogedengbe led the scoring for Surrey, chalking up 24 points whilst Richards followed up with 19 points.
The fourth quarter saw the Scorchers mount a comeback, getting as close as four points to the Royals but they couldn’t see it through to the end.
