Santa’s Reindeer Parade to bring more Festive Fun to Stockton

Screen Shot 2015-12-09 at 13.37.49STOCKTON Sparkles is set to continue this weekend as Santa and his entourage of reindeers descend on Stockton Town Centre.

At 2pm on Sunday (13 December), they will parade with their sleigh down Stockton High Street spreading festive cheer and wishes.

The popular annual event will also see local youth, community and school groups join the parade to help entertain the crowds before culminating in a sing-a-long of Christmas classics.

This year’s parade carries a winter wonderland theme where a flurry of beautiful costumes and outfits will see a sparkling parade bring the spirit of Christmas to life on the High Street.

Councillor Norma Wilburn, Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Arts, Leisure and Culture, said: “Stockton Sparkles has been a fantastic success already this year.

“Following the wonderful launch night plus the excellent markets and other events since, the ever popular Reindeer Parade returns to get everyone into the festive spirit.

“There’ll also be a chance for everyone to meet the reindeer while they rest after the parade outside Stockton Town Hall.

“Stockton Town Centre is alive with Christmas spirit and as the big day approaches, I would encourage everyone of any age to come down and experience this magical event as well as the many shops, cafes and eateries.”

The Reindeer Parade is part of Stockton Sparkles, Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council’s winter festival.
