THOSE HEADING to a Sunderland shopping centre will soon be able to get advice while they shop, thanks to a collaboration with a development charity.
The Bridges has announced that Springboard Sunderland Trust will open a new unit in the centre on Friday (23 August).
Springboard Training, which will be located next to Esquires Coffee, aims to provide shoppers with information about the organisation’s range of courses and qualifications, with opportunities to try taster activities in store.
And the charity, which supports the development of sustainable communities, offers a variety of options including adult care, business administration, digital marketing and promotion, hair and beauty therapy, retail, parenting skills and customer care.
Andy Bradley, centre director at the Bridges, is confident that the new unit will be a great asset to visitors.
“Springboard Sunderland Trust do invaluable work for the local community and we are delighted to welcome them to the Bridges to help our shoppers,” said John.
“Whether people are looking to boost their career prospects or just widen their horizons with a new skill, the charity has plenty of options to choose from.
“I hope those visiting the centre will take time out of their next shop to head to the new unit and see what there is on offer.”
