A range of exciting artisan gifts and local produce will be showcased at Manor Walks Cramlington this weekend.
The shopping centre’s second Makers and Bakers Market will take place on Saturday 9th March from 9am -5pm with over 25 traders taking part.
Following on from the success of the inaugural market in February traders from across the region will be returning with their handmade and home grown products to encourage people to buy local.
The event, held in partnership with events2gogo, is the perfect opportunity to purchase gifts for friends or family, sample some fantastic street food whilst supporting local traders and businesses.
So if you’re looking for a treat for the family or yourself, here are Manor Walks’ five market buys:
1. Blossom and Wither Art
Northumberland artist Chantelle Wilson will be selling a range of original art, mounted prints, cards and coasters featuring her colorful animal paintings.
2. The Little Poffertje Pancake Shack
This delicious Dutch street food is definitely going to be popular with visitors. People can sample these mini sweet pancakes made with Buckwheat flour, with a variety of toppings.
3. Pie Demand
Cumbrian Pie Demand aim to bring something different to their products – traditional flavors with a modern twist. All of their pies are individually handmade with fresh ingredients from independent producers.
4. Hand Knit by Aunty M
A family hobby turned business, Aunty M taught all her family to knit and even gets help from her niece in the design process. Spring is in the air however visitors should stop by Aunty M’s stall to buy some lovingly hand knit gloves and scarves for all eventualities.
5. Theo Cheeseman
Cheese lovers will rejoice if they visit Theo Cheeseman’s stall to see a variety of cheeses which you cannot get at your usual supermarket. From gin and lemon to charcoal briquette, as well as the usual favourites, you won’t want to miss this.

It was fantastic to see so many people visiting the centre to sample the delights that were on offer and we can’t wait to welcome more visitors this month.”

Manor Walks will be holding its Makers and Bakers Market on the second Saturday of every month between 9am and 5pm.
The dates for this year are – Saturday 9th March, Saturday 13th April, Saturday 11th May, Saturday 8th June, Saturday 13th July, Saturday 10th August, Saturday 14th September, Saturday 12th October, Saturday 9th November and Saturday 14th December.
