Giving away free VIP tickets to a charity event proved to be a great idea as the two grateful receivers went on to spend almost £300 on the charity auction.
Lee Taylor, Managing Director of asbestos management company; Msycdo, produces of the shineAsbestos software purchased a VIP table for several clients and friends to enjoy the event ‘An Evening with Pavel Srnicek, Steve Watson and Mickey Quinn’. However, Lee was let down at the last minute and none of his invited guests could attend the event.
Not wanting the tickets to go to waste, Lee posted in a Newcastle United supporter fan page on Facebook and offered the tickets for free to whoever responded first. Lee was astonished when an avid Newcastle United supporter responded within 4 minutes. Another response quickly followed and
luckily for the two supporters, there were enough tickets for them both to attend.
Jason Storey went on to spend £290 at the charity auction purchasing Paul Gascoigne’s ‘Tears in Turin’ image and a framed shirt from the 80s signed by 20 players signatures past and present.
Jason was thrilled with his free tickets and had a great evening; “People who couldn’t go must be nuts because nights like that don’t come around that often. Fantastic hospitality courtesy of shineAsbestos.”
