Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

New community development contract to help the over 50s

tender for a £1 million, three year contract, to shape and deliver a community development project, has been launched by Ageing Better Middlesbrough. 

An information session is being held on Tuesday, 5 December, from 1pm to 2pm at The Mind Centre, 90-92 Lothian Road, Middlesbrough, TS4 2QX, for anyone who wants to find out more.

Ageing Better Middlesbrough is funded by the National Lottery through the Big Lottery Fund. It works in partnership with older people to strengthen communities and find ways to tackle loneliness and social isolation in people who are over 50. 

Michelle Dawson, Programme Manager at Ageing Better Middlesbrough, said: “We are looking for an organisation, or partnership of organisations, to work with us on this innovative programme 

“They will need to share our passion and drive to work alongside older people, strengthen existing community groups and play a key role ensuring the programme achieves lasting change for people aged over 50 in Middlesbrough.”
