A dental and skincare practice in Ponteland is kicking off its sponsorship of a local junior football team.
Honour Health, based at Bell Villas in Ponteland, has teamed up with Ponteland United FC to sponsor their Under 14s Blues team, which means that the Honour Health logo will be adorning the team’s shirts for the 2017-2018 season.
The Honour Health Group, owned by principal dental surgeon Mr Onkar Dhanoya, has three practices across the North East –in Ponteland, Jesmond and Stanley. The Ponteland site is the group’s newest practice, which opened in January 2015 within a beautifully refurbished 19th century property.
The practice recently rebranded from Ponteland Dental to Honour Health, to better reflect the advanced range of dental and skin treatments provided by the team there.
To celebrate the rebrand, Honour Health is sponsoring Ponteland United FC Under 14s Blues, who compete in the FA-affiliated Gateshead Youth Football League, and play their home fixtures at Ponteland Middle School. They also train on the 3G pitch at the Middle School.
Mr Dhanoya said: “We’re delighted to sponsor Ponteland United FC Under 14s Blues, and we wish them the best of luck for the season. This is a great way to round off a very successful year, which has included our rebrand, the expansion of our team and the growth of our skin department.

That’s why it’s great to see these youngsters getting into healthy habits from an early age, by getting some fantastic, fun, regular, exercise on the football field. We’ll definitely be cheering them on!”
Ponteland United FC Under 14s Blues team manager Mike Russell said: “It’s wonderful to see a local practice support junior football and we very much appreciate Honour Health’s sponsorship of our team. Their funds go a long way to help fund the boys’ strips, and they definitely help them to look the part as they compete across the North East.”
Honour Health’s Ponteland practice provides a range of advanced dental treatments including dental health assessments, mouth hygiene packages, teeth whitening, Invisalign, aesthetic dentistry and orthodontics. Skin treatments include chemical peels, plasma facials, muscle relaxants, dermal fillers and cosmeceuticals.
The practice offers late evening and weekend opening hours, as well as free on-site parking.
