Looking to follow up on last season National Junior League title, the Bishop Auckland TTC Teams came away with a strong start after the first set of this seasons matches. Both teams faced off in the first round, with the A team of Sam Hume, Lee Tinkler and Ed Sett coming out 9-0 victors over Jamie Collins, Kieron Bowes, and John Waterworth.

The A team continued its winning ways with a 9-0 win over Darlington B while the B team found matters harder going down 7-2 to Ormseby A with both Kieron and Jamie both unlucky to lose to the number 1 player in 5 ends.

The B team put the two losses behind them to finish with a 7-2 victory over Ormesby B, with Jamie and Kieron picking up maximums and John Waterworth just losing out 13-11 in the 5th end in the final game. The victory would have seen John appear on the next ranking national list, Jamie Collins however picked up the needed number of wins and will appear on the next ranking list.

The A team finished the day completing a hat trick of wins with a 6-3 victory over Northumberland which see the A team top of the Table 2 points clear with the B team sat in 5th place.
