Hambleton District Council is holding a by election in May – to fill the vacancy in its Northallerton South ward.
The election – prompted by the death of Councillor Tony Hall – will be held on May 26. The election to fill the gap left by him on North Yorkshire County Council (Northallerton division) will be held at the same time.
Nominations will be accepted from April 21 until closure at 4pm on April 28 from anyone wishing to stand for election.
