A LEADING bakery and dessert delivery service has added dozens of new treats to one of its store menus after a recent re-launch.
Sweet Tooth Delivery, which has four shops across the North East, has given its Belmont store in Durham an overhaul to help cope with the huge demand.
Sweet Tooth Delivery began life in Durham in 2009 as a late night cake delivery service for hungry students
Within months owners Kayley Smith and John-Paul Stonehouse had started to expand the business to include dessert parlours and take-outs across the region.
Now they have given the Belmont outlet a new look and extended the menu to offer customers a choice of hot or cold cakes and desserts.
Bright new booths have now been installed to allow seating for up to 40 people, and the menu is now bulging with dozens of new items.
Just in time for the winter comes a selection of delicious hot puddings which include fresh cookie dough and gooey warm brownie batter. There is also a choice of 10 new American style waffles.
There is also a new line of New York Mess sundaes which include flavours like Proper Mint This Like, Red Velvet and Kinder Choco Bomb.
Kayley Smith explained that the decision to relaunch was made to meet the ever-growing demand. “We have had such a fantastic 18 months that we decided to give the Belmont store a facelift and create more space for diners,” she said.
“Since we moved our baking operations to a bigger unit in Seaham earlier this year we are in a great position to create new, exciting desserts.
“There has been an amazing demand for our cakes and we like to keep things fresh and exciting which is why we launched a selection of new sundaes.
“We also wanted to bring in some winter warmers to help get our customers though the cold winter days, so we’ve upped our game with the hot puddings. We are constantly striving to bring new treats to our stores and we hope our clients enjoy what we have created at Belmont.”
As well as the Belmont store, Sweet Tooth Delivery has outlets in Durham City, Middlesbrough and Sunderland. For further information visit www.sweettoothdelivery.co.uk.
